Impromtu-ness

The fam was in serious impromptu mode on Saturday.  The weather was about 70 degrees, and it was nice and sunny when we woke up, so we decided to take advantage of the great day, and spend it outside.

We headed to the Maryland Zoo.  Daddy hadn't been there in a very long time, Blake had never been there, and Mommy had a coupon, so we were good-to-go.

We spent about 3 hours there, and had a really nice morning there.

Blake ran over to an area to look at a bunch of yellow frogs.

Neighbor Parties

Saturday was a busy, busy day for the boys.  Max (our neighbor) across the street turned 5.  He had an awesome fireman birthday party, complete with a real fire engine and fire fighters.

Time to dress up.  Colton with his buddy Andrew

Next was onto Andrew's 5th birthday party at an indoor pool.  The guests got the whole pool to themselves, and had a lot of fun!

Weekend Fun

This weekend was a blast!  We really didn't do anything special, but I LOVE being with my family, and doing "regular" family things.  The weather was great, nobody was sick, and Eric and I even had a chance to go out dinner alone while Mimi watched the kids Saturday night.

This is pretty much our breakdown:

Friday night:  Hibachi and our local hibachi restaurant.  The superheroes love watching the fire!

Saturday morning:  We all went to the Snyder's house.  Check out the picture of the little guys eating lunch.

Late Saturday afternoon, Eric and I met with our realtor, and signed a contract for some land.  Even though we found out today that the contract was accepted, I'm not going to get too excited until all of the t's are crossed, and the i's are dotted.  We went to dinner and the mall afterwards, and then came home to the superheroes and Mimi, bathed and all!

Sunday morning we went to the gym.  I have to admit, I haven't been to our gym in over 2 months.  I happened to lose weight from watching what I have been eating over the winter, so used that as an excuse not to go, but it was definitely time for a nice run and bike ride in the gym today.

After naps, we met some neighbors at our playground.  How cute are they?

At Bedtime, Colton did some work in a First Grade workbook.  I was so proud of him.  He got all of the addition problems correct, and didn't even show his work.

We meet with our builder tomorrow night, and our finance lady later on this week.  Will keep you posted on our building project as we learn more.
